If you've been using traditional labels for years then you've probably had a run-in with an acrylic cream jar. They're a pain, they take forever to roll up for shipping, and they always look kind of silly hanging on the side of the box. On top of all that they're usually pretty expensive as well, and even though they do cost a little bit more they don't exactly offer a lot of convenience. If you're anything like me though and haven't had too many problems with jars in the past then you may want to give them a second look. Because there are plenty of benefits to having your own acrylic cream jar that's both practical and attractive.
First off you have the fact that they're reusable, which is a real plus over paper alternatives. If you're anything like me you're used to going through boxes of papers at least a couple of times a month and finding some of them have already been used. And when you're shipping anything with a regular box the chances are that there will be some things that go missing or get damaged, and not everyone is willing to invest in brand new cream jars for every single item in their inventory just to save a few cents. So if you're shipping a ton of supplies, toys, clothes, books or just about anything else, you'll find that investing in a cream jar can really save a lot of money in the long run.
If you're interested in making your own jar then you're going to be happy to know that most of the materials you need to make one are pretty much common household items. Of course you're going to need the actual jars, caps, and tubing, but other than that the only other thing you're going to have to buy is the actual design pattern and print you want. Most companies out there who sell these products will have a number of selections to choose from so this shouldn't be too hard to do. You might even end up with some pretty funky designs that you'd never have thought of yourself, so it's always good to do some browsing online for some inspiration.
